W1FPZ Gross Transmitter Notes
A good amount of the information on this page came from
the files of my friend John Rollins W1FPZ
who is now a silent key.
The notations on the schematics are his work, and I've placed multiple copies
here to show
the various notes he has made.
Those who operate, or are
in the process of restoring Gross transmitters, will find his notes on the
coils,
most helpful.Winding data, with turns and wire size are included here, and I've replicated
the stickers that
Gross placed on teh coil forms. You can find the Gross coil sticker template at
Gross Coil Labels.
I am most grateful to John for his efforts to keep the history of the Gross
Radio Company intact,
and ready to be shared with future generations of hams.
