Overview

When working with a transmitter that is now approaching it's 40th birthday it is easy to become concerned about locating parts and information. Thankfully, since the T-3 was produced in large numbers, this is not quite that issue that one would expect thanks to the large number of commercial and surplus dealers. Don't discount hamfests as great opportunity for finding that elusive component.

The latest and most informative service manual for the T-368 series is the T-368/URT Field and Depot Maintenance Manual- TM 11-809-35.

For the ME-165/G SWR/Power Meter obtain the ME-165/G Technical and Depot Maintenance Manual- TM 11-6625-333-15.

This list is by no means complete, please feel free to email any suggestions that you might have.

Service Parts

Antique Electronic Supply- offers a wide variety of tubes and components for hollow state service. Some good technical information is on-line. Also have a great reference catalog. Phone (602) 820-5411. Antique Electronics Supply 6221 South Maple Ave. Tempe, AZ 85283

Fair Radio- is undoubtedly one of the better places to locate T-368 parts. They have a number of used T-3 decks for parts, and I have found them friendly and honest to deal with. Good source also for the ME 165 SWR/Power Meter. Aside from the T-3, Fair also handles a great number of surplus military and industrial parts. Ask for the owner Phil. Phone 419-227-6573 or 419-223-2196. 24 Hour Fax 419-227-1313. Fair Radio Sales Company Inc. P O Box 1105 Lima, Ohio 45802-1105

RF Parts- Large number of RF tube and parts. Order Phone 800-737-2787. Tech Phone 760-744-0750. 24 hour Fax 888-744-1943. Email address is rfp@frparts.com. RF Parts 435 South Pacific Street San Marcos, CA 92069

Surplus Sales of Nebraska- is another outstanding source of parts. Unlike Fair Radio they do not have used T-3s to part out. Super catalog, makes a great reference, and is well worth the $5.Bob Grinnell is the owner. Phone 800-244-4567. Fax 402-346-2939. Surplus Sales 1502 Jones Street Omaha, Nebraska 68102

Publications

Fair Radio- Aside from parts, Fair also has a extensive library of military manuals. I have found their copying first rate, and the price quite reasonable. Ask for the owner Phil. Phone 419-227-6573 or 419-223-2196. 24 Hour Fax 419-227-1313. Fair Radio Sales Company Inc. P O Box 1105 Lima, Ohio 45802-1105

NTIS- The National Technical Information Service is a great resource for new military and government publications. The most current T-3 tech and service manuals are still in print. Phone 703-605-6000. Fax 703-605-6900. National Technical Information Service Technology Administration U.S. Department of Commerce Springfield, VA 22161
