National SW-5, power supply and coil sets

Front view of the National SW-5

Inside front of set

The top of the SW-5, note National "diamond"

National "Dog house" power supply for the SW-5

Bottom of the set, note simple point to point wiring scheme

Rear view set, note pair of 27s in the audio output

The top of the SW-5, note the two plug in coils and pair of audio tubes in output

Right side of the set, small grommet on front is feed for the atennna wire

Left side of the set, note National "diamond" logo

Tested on July 6, 1931 by Jackson Research Labs laboratory engineer Calvin Foss. It appears that each SW-5 was tested as it came off the line and the results noted on a small chart on the right upper side of the top inside cover. The first stations logged on my unit were "PCP" in Holland and "WSE" in Argentina at 12:45PM July 6, 1931.
